Spindle taper grinding on your machine
We recondition the spindle taper at your premises, in the working area of the machining centre, without removing the spindle. The reconditioning itself takes one working day on your machine.
Signs of a worn taper
- Tool runout varies from one tool change to the next – clamping is not repeatable.
- Poorer surface finish and chatter marks in finishing operations.
- Dark rings, rust or fretting marks are visible on the taper.
- Tools wear faster than on other machines.
- Reaming of holes is no longer reliable.
- Tight tolerances can no longer be held.
